PAGANINIANA
The "Paganiniana"

"Paganiniana" is a set of events whose aim is to present Niccolò Paganini's figure, not only as a musician and composer but most of all as a creative and romantic spirit.
The first edition of the festival took place in 2000 on suggestion of the Council for Genoa City Promotion and Communication and continues in collaboration with public and private musical institutions operating in the city, such as the "Fondazione Teatro Carlo Felice", the "Giovine Orchestra Genovese", the Genoa Conservatory of Music "Niccolò Paganini" and other Genoese cultural associations.
The festival is one of the most important cultural events in the city of Genoa and it offers the possibility to know Paganini and what he represents in terms of virtuosity, but also modernity and innovation, through a set of different events such as concerts, conferences, meetings, master-classes and other cultural initiatives.
During the last editions many renowned artists have performed: Salvatore Accardo, Massimo Quarta, Uto Ughi, Yuri Bashmet and the Moscow Soloists, Leonidas Kavakos and Camerata Salzsburg, Viktoria Mullova and the "Giardino Armonico", Vadim Repin, Maxim Vengerov and famous conductors such as Sir Neville Marriner.
